Good enough

I get so sick of counting on people and letting them let me down. Yeah, it's really own my fault, for whatever expectations that I come up with in my own mind for them to follow, and inevitably, it all seems to fall by the way-side. Dr. Phil says we get angry with people when they do not live up to our expectations of them.

I'm very hard to get to know, and when I do let somebody "in," it's a big deal for me. After they let me down, I always think the same thing, "Why did I let that person in?"after they have disappointed me... then I quickly retreat.

Letting people in who do not treat us right can just further our belief system that we are not good enough.

Weekly Wednesday Weigh-in: 258.6.

Self-sabotage for its own sake

Yesterday's Eats

- Chicken veggie soup
- Two tacos on cauliflower shells
- Pepperoni and hot pepper jack cheese on a cauliflower shell
- One tablespoon peanut butter
- Cheerios with skim milk (sigh)

I still can't help but feel like I ate the cheerios as a form of self-sabotage. Why do I say this? I don't even like Cheerios! Ugh. Next time that I go off my freaking low carb diet, it's not gonna be for some nasty, tasteless, cardboard cheerios. Why must I try to mess up my life when things are going well???

My friend asked me if they were at least Honey Nut. No, they weren't. I was robbed.

I woke up in the night to severe stomach pain. When I'm eating the stuff all the time, it doesn't bother me is what is so crazy. I'm actually glad that I don't eat like that anymore.

Edited to add: Who cares about the Cheerios, really? Not me and hopefully not you. They are behind me and I'm stronger than any boxed food product Post or whoever can throw at me!

They were just a good reminder that it simply not.worth.it.

- Oopsie pizza
- Tuna muffins
- Broccoli crunch salad

Weigh in: 259.2

So, I'm way out of the morbidly obese range at this point and I'm closer (within the obese range) being "overweight" that "morbidly obese." This is soooo exciting! I started off with a BMI of 44 now I have a BMI of 37.19. Wahoo! Onward and downward.....

Skipping the carbs is so much easier now that I have some days between me and those white-sugar and white-flour demons.

Low carb menu

Low carb menu from Sunday

- Oopsie pizza with broccoli crunch salad*
- Tuna muffin with broccoli crunch salad
- Strawberries
- Taco salad with lettuce, taco meat, taco cheese, Daisy sour cream and salsa and green pepper chunks

*I added four hard boiled eggs to this salad after I made it... three diced in and mixed in and one sliced and on top. It's definitely a winner. I also used a small bag of real bacon pieces to save time in the kitchen.

I was really, REALLY wanting to do some emotional eating last night, but instead, I just had a taco salad. I think that it helps to have a plan for when you are about to stuff the whole kitchen in your face. I really should have probably just gone to bed, or worked in my art studio, but instead, I had a big plate of low carb taco salad. I ate about 2/3 of it. I think that it's better to eat something healthy than processed, but why am I still feeding my problems with food?? Now that I think about it, part of the problem was me being thirsty. I just feel SO much better and able to take on my problems when I'm hydrated.

Low carb eats

My low carb menu for today:

- Two scrambled eggs, fried in butter
- Cheesy tuna casserole
- Small handfull of English walnuts
- Home made pork bbq meat with mashed cauliflower and butter
- M&Ms (noooooooo) - only a handfull
- Protein pancake

I lost a couple pounds yesterday already! Well, I weighed in at 272.4, which is a big loss for the first day. I realize a lot of it is water weight, but if it's that much closer to putting me in the 260's, I will take it!!!

Check out the low carb bbq recipe! It's so good and thick that I always end up dilluting it down with the drippings in the crockpot before I eat it. If you are using it directly on BBQ chicken or what have you, you could just add extra ketchup. Warning, super rich and tangy! SUPER tasty! Trust me, nobody would ever realize this is low carb... The whole carb eating family will love it.

How are YOU all doing??

Update-ish

I want to update, but what do I say?

I was back to finding myself daily in the drive-thru, so I decided to freeze that right in its tracks.

I stepped on the scale this morning and I'm at 276.0 or 275.0, depending on which weigh-in I want to believe. Either way, that is five pounds down since last update, so I will take it!!!!

I have been making some decent choices and I just brought home a slew of meat and low carb veggies from the grocery store, so the future is bright!!!

Had eggs for breakfast and some pork bbq with home made bbq sauce for lunch.

Resisted the addictive drive thru on the way home from the store.... which is pretty outstanding, considering my habits as of late. I decided not to act like a little addicted rat, but a person with free-will and a mind of her own.

I still feel out of control when I eat white rice, flour, the like............ So best to cut them out of my life completely. It seems I have forgotten that it gets easier the longer that I'm without them.
